Luftwaffe (Wehrmacht) aircraft radio FuG X chest.
This large hinged lid chest made of wood for an aircraft radio FuG X, these were built into the Luftwaffe fighter planes, specifically the Junkers Ju 88 from 1938.
The chest still has it's original Luftwaffe field gray paint (blue-gray), and is maked in black"Fu.GX Bordfunkgerät / 1147", inside metal plaque punched "Baumuster TK 55b / Werk Nr. 1147-41 / Anf.Z. 28400-2".
The sides have retractable carrying handles the interior is in beautiful condition.

Measures over 34 inches across, 21 inches deep and 15 inches high.
